But we can get very busy on Friday and Saturday nights as well as Sunday lunchtime, so you may be lucky to get a table for two or four if you just turn up, but we would advise any larger groups to book in advance.
We offer simple but tasty pub cooking.Were sorry, but with only a small kitchen we can only serve fresh vegetables with Sunday lunch, or for pre-booked parties.
We would appreciate it if larger groups (12 or more) could pre-order your meals before you arrive. This will allow us to prepare your meals so that everyone can be served at the same time without delay.
We try to use only the best locally grown farm produce in our cooking,also using local butchers for our premier British beef, Somerset reared pork and chicken, and for our real beef burgers. Friday night’s fresh fish (coated in our real ale beer batter comes from West Bay. (We also make glutton free batter as well) If you have any special dietary needs then please ask at the bar and we will do our best to provide a choice for you.
You can chose from Rump,Ribeye,Sirloin, Fillet & even T Bone Steaks, or if you prefer there are Pork Loin in Cider apple & herb sauce as well as Lamb in red wine with Red current & herb sauce.
We cook all our own Hams along with the deep dish Steak & Kidney or the Chicken & Mushroom pie and all of our Soup’s.
At Christmas all the Christmas Pudding are at lest 12 month matured for that rich flavour you only get with a mature well feed Pudding.
The Skittle Alley / Function has its own bar so can be used as a completely seporate room for what ever you want from a game of skittle with a simple Skittle supper to a Buffet or a formal sit down for up to 80 People.
